Boiler replacement in Eastbourne
If the boiler you have is broken, worn out or letting you down every winter, this page is about getting it out and a new one in with as little upheaval as possible. We survey it, we quote it in writing, and the engineer who looked at it does the work.
- Survey at the house, then a written quote
- Old boiler taken away
- Gas Safe registered
- Told straight if a repair would do

From survey to hot water again
The survey is where we look at the boiler you have, the flue, the pipework and where the new one is going. Then you get a written quote for a named boiler. Not a range.
On the day, the old boiler comes off the wall and the new one goes on. How long it takes depends on the job. Moving the boiler, converting from tanks in the loft, or upgrading the gas run is more work than a like-for-like swap, and you are told what yours involves before you agree to anything.
What happens to the boiler coming out
It leaves with us. If something turns up once the old boiler is off the wall, you hear about it before anything is spent, not afterwards.
A written quote, and a second look at someone else's
If you already have a replacement quote from another firm, send it over. We will price the same job against it, and if a different boiler would do the job for less, we will tell you that too.
Sometimes the honest answer is that the quote you already have is a fair one. You will hear that as well.
Already got a quote? Compare it.
Send us the quote you have and we will price the same job against it. Blank out the prices if you like.
Questions people ask first
How long does a boiler replacement take?
It depends on the job. A straight swap in the same position is the simplest. Moving the boiler, converting from tanks in the loft to a combi, or upgrading the gas run is more work. You are told what yours involves after the survey, before you agree to anything.
Can you price against a quote I already have?
Yes. Send us the quote you have, with the prices blanked out if you prefer, and we will price the same job against it. That goes for a domestic boiler as much as a commercial plant room. If the quote you have is a fair one, you will be told that too.
Should I repair my boiler or replace it?
If it can be repaired for a fraction of a replacement, that is what you will be told. A younger boiler with a failed part is usually worth fixing. An old one that loses pressure every week usually is not. We are not tied to one manufacturer, so nothing pushes the recommendation one way.
Who actually turns up?
The engineer who looked at the job. There is no call centre and no salesman on commission between you and the person doing the work.
Are you Gas Safe registered?
Yes. The registration number is on this site and you can check it yourself on the public Gas Safe register, which you should do with anyone who works on your gas.
In their words
Steve arrived at the time and date quoted and all work was carried out efficiently and with no fuss. I can wholly recommend Steve and his work based on my experience.
Steve was recommended to me by a friend as I was converting an under stairs cupboard into a cloakroom and toilet and I needed someone friendly and reliable to carry out the plumbing work. I was very impressed with Steve's attitude as nothing was too much trouble and he explained what needed to be done prior to him starting and what parts I needed to supply and what parts he would provide.
